TOME Relaunch Update

Welcome back to TOME: Immortal Arena. We have been hard at work to bring TOME back bigger and better than ever, and the wait is over! A lot has changed since the last time you stepped foot on the arena floor. To prepare you for battle, below is a full list of changes that have been made over the last month. We are very excited to be back and share all our hard work with you.


New Guardians

Three new Guardians have been added!

Cyrus: The Forgotten King

Cyrus, The Forgotten King is the first melee Slayer from the Fire Domain. Unlike most Slayers, Cyrus is not afraid to stand toe to toe with the enemy!


  • Piercing Flame (Q)
    • (Passive) Cyrus gets a stack of Blazing Armor for 5 seconds when an enemy is hit by his basic attack, Piercing Flame, Battle Cry, or Shield Bash. Each stack lowers the amount of damage taken by 2 from basic attacks and can not exceed 10 stacks
    • (Active) Cyrus swings his sword at target enemy, dealing damage, with an extra 5% damage per stack of Blazing Armor.
  • Battle Cry (W)
    • Cyrus shouts in target direction, slowing all enemy Guardians by 25% for 3 seconds. Cyrus gains a stack of Blazing Armor for each enemy slowed this way.
  • Shield Bash (E)
    • Cyrus smacks target enemy with his shield, dealing damage. Enemies hit with this ability take 10% more damage for 4 seconds.
  • Scorched Earth (R)
    • Cyrus sends a fiery wave in target direction, dealing damage to all enemies hit (half damage to minions) and leaving behind a scorched patch of earth for 9 seconds. In this area, Cyrus is immune to crowd control and gains a 35% boost to Attack Speed and Movement Speed.


Valora: The Wings of Stridis

Valora, The Wings of Stridis is the first Tank from the Air Domain. Valora uses her precision and wings to aid her in controlling her lane.

  • Foray (Q)
    • After a brief charge up, Valora charges into battle, dealing damage to the first enemy she encounters. If she travels far enough, the damage is doubled.
  • Crippling Strikes (W)
    • Valora empowers her weapon for 7 seconds. While empowered, her default attacks apply a debuff that lasts for 3 seconds. This debuff slows the target by 12% and deals damage per second for each stack. This debuff stacks unlimited times.
  • Make Way (E)
    • Valora swings her mighty spear, dealing damage to all enemies in front of her and knocking them back.
  • Upheaval (R)
    • Valora carries target enemy Guardian into the sky before slamming them into the ground, dealing damage and knocking nearby enemies airborne on impact. Valora and her target are untargetable while airborne.

Vandus: The Prime Magus

Vandus, The Prime Magus, is a ranged Tactician from the Creation Domain. Vandus knows that knowledge equals true power and is willing to disprove anyone who dares disagree.

  • Binding Force (Q)
    • Vandus creates a projectile in front of him that travels backward toward the casting point. It collides with the first enemy hit, dealing damage and immobilizing the enemy for 2 seconds.
  • Inhibited (W)
    • Vandus launches a slow moving ball of energy at target enemy. The ball has 10 seconds to reach its target. If it collides with the enemy, it Slows, Blinds, and Silences the enemy for 2 seconds.
    • Reactivate this ability to retarget the ball toward another enemy while it is in flight.
  • Momentum Shift (E)
    • Vandus targets himself or friendly Guardian, granting 1.5 movement speed for 3 seconds.
    • If Vandus casts this ability on an ally, he also gains the same movement speed bonus.
  • Arcane Beam (R)
    • Vandus creates an arcane conduit at his location. After 1.5 seconds, a beam of energy flows across the targeted area for 6 seconds. Enemies in a beam are slowed by 30%, and suffer 7% of their max health as damage every second.
    • This ability can be cast again within 6 seconds of your last cast before it goes on cooldown, up to a maximum of 3 times.

Guardian Affinity / Domain Favor

Playing your favorite Guardian, or your favorite Domain is no longer just fun, it’s now rewarding as well!


Guardian Affinity

As you play with a specific Guardian, you will gain experience, or “Affinity”, for that Guardian.  Upon reaching new levels with a Guardian you will earn various rewards:


  • Devotion – Devotion is the earned currency in TOME.  Players primarily gain Devotion from competing in matches with other players, but can also gain some Devotion when reaching the first level up for each Guardian.
  • Dance Animations – Each Guardian has a dance animation that can be earned through Affinity.  Once the Guardian is purchased and a player has reached Level 3, players can then activate the Guardian’s dance animation by pressing “D” in game.
  • Relics – As players level up their Guardian, players will earn Relics that will allow them to slightly change the behavior of one of that Guardian’s abilities.
  • Ascended Skins – Once players reach the current maxed out level for a Guardian, players will earn a free, Ascended Skin for that Guardian.



Domain Favor

As you play, you will also gain experience, or “Favor”, for the Domain of your selected Guardian.  When you gain a level with a Domain you will earn various rewards:

  • Blessings – Once earned, a Blessing can be equipped on any Guardian, regardless of Domain.  Blessings will provide additional bonuses such as starting a match with 300 Gold, improving your damage against structures, increase your Guardian’s maximum Health, etc.
  • Platinum – Platinum is the premium currency of TOME.  Aside from purchasing Platinum, you will also earn some by achieving the later levels of each Domain.


Guardian Updates


  • All tanks have had their health reduced.


  • Nature’s Blessing (Q)
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall heal.
  • Binding Roots (E)
    • Lowered the time that this ability can be interrupted from 0.2 sec to 0 sec.



  • Ice Volley (Q)
    • Chill duration increased to 7 from 6.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.
    • Chilled damage changed to double from 30% bonus.
  • Biting Cold (W)
    • Blade duration reduced to 5 from 6.
    • Damage changed to percent damage from straight damage; Chilled bonus changed to double damage from reduced Attack Speed.
  • Arctic Squall (E)
    • Blizzard duration reduced to 5 from 6.
    • Bonus reduction/second reduced to 5% from 10%.
    • Debuff now persists for 1 second after leaving the blizzard.
    • Chilled bonus changed to an accelerated debuff from damage.
  • Flash Freeze (R)
    • Damage component removed.



  • Erebus has been disabled while we reevaluate his ability kit.  He will be released again in the future.



  • Frozen Jab (Q)
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.
  • Snow Boulder (W)
    • Cooldown reduced to 10 from 12. Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.
  • Snow Crash (E)
    • Cooldown increased to 8 from 7. Radius increased to 2.25 from 2.



  • Blazing Soul (W)
    • Scaling adjusted to increase overall damage.



  • Dark Culling (R)
    • Range reduced to 4 from 6.5.



  • Spine Sever (W)
    • Cooldown increased to 4 seconds from 3 seconds.
  • Shadow Stalk (E)
    • Bonus Movement Speed reduced to 20% from 35%.



  • Charged Shot (Q)
    • Projectile now hits the first enemy it collides with.
    • Can no longer target minions.
    • Scaling adjusted to increase overall initial damage, but still be lower than previously possible with bonus damage.
  • Thunderbolt (W)
    • Damage no longer increases the further the projectile travels.
    • If the projectile travels far enough, the damage is doubled.
    • Scaling adjusted to decrease overall damage.



  • Wild Swing (Q)
    • Cooldown increased to 4 seconds from 3 seconds.
  • Conquer (R)
    • Range decreased to 5.5 from 7.



  • Heroic Charge (Q)
    • Range increased to 8 from 6.75.
    • Radius increased to 3.5 from 3.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage on the initial strike; damage to nearby enemies for distance changed to full initial damage instead of half initial damage.
    • Center of effect radius is now at enemy hit, rather than Osric.
  • Divine Strike (W)
    • Range increased to 3.5 from 3.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage; heal changed to total health-based from might-based.
    • Center of healing effect radius is now at enemy killed, rather than Osric.
    • Bug fix: No longer goes on cooldown if the enemy is dead before they are struck.
  • Sword Storm (E)
    • Removed the 15% slow while spinning.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.
  • Into the Fray (R)
    • Cooldown increased to 50 from 45.
    • Shield duration decreased to 4 seconds from 7 seconds.
    • Scaling adjusted to increase base shield; bonus for nearby allies/enemies reduced to half the base shield amount instead of the full shield amount.



  • Winds of Vigor (Q)
    • Scaling adjusted to decrease the shield.
    • Shield duration increased to 5 from 2.5.
    • Range increased to 7.5 from 6.
    • Effect Radius increased to 2.75 from 1.5.
    • Cooldown increased to 14 seconds from 12.
    • Boost to Minion attack speed while shielded was removed.
  • Vacuum Force (W)
    • Targeting range reduced to 6.0 from 7.5.
    • Effect radius reduced to 3.5 from 4.0.
    • Cooldown decreased to 16 from 20.
  • Shearing Winds (E)
    • Scaling adjusted to increase overall damage.
    • Cooldown reduced to 6 from 8.
    • Targeting range reduced to 14 from 16.
    • Projectile speed reduced to 16 from 20.
    • 30% consecutive hit damage boost was removed.



  • Fireball (Q)
    • Scaling adjusted to increase overall damage.
    • Functionality to reset the ability when it kills a target was removed.
  • Eruption (W)
    • Moved from W to R.
    • Cooldown increased to 45 from 9.
    • Scaling adjusted to increase overall damage.
  • Wildfire (R)
    • Moved from R to W.
    • Cooldown decreased to 4 from 45.
    • Duration increased to 10 seconds from 5 seconds.
    • Scaling adjusted to decrease dmg/sec.


  • Energy Bolt (Q)
    • Cooldown increased to 6 from 4.
    • Reduction when hitting a Guardian increased to 5 from 3.
  • Evasive Maneuver (W)
    • Cooldown increased to 9 from 7.
  • Ricochet (E)
    • Cooldown increased to 10 from 9.
    • Initial range reduced to 5.5 from 6.5.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.
  • Piercing Shot (R)
    • Cooldown increased to 50 from 35.
    • Scaling adjusted to lower overall damage.


Item Updates

The Movement Speed category has been removed. Some previous items have been changed and overhauled to fit the new structure. The new item structure is detailed below:


  • Serpent’s Coil – (Passive) Increases Might by 7.
    • Traveller’s Boots – (Passive) Increases Might by 15.  (Passive) (Unique) Increases Movement Speed by 25% when not in combat.
    • Lightning Rod – (Passive) Increases Might by 15.  (Passive) (Unique) Basic Attacks against Guardians generate a lightning bolt that bounces to 3 nearby targets.  Each bounce deals 20% diminished damage.
    • Eye of Gerrit – (Passive) Increases Might by 15.  (Passive) (Unique) Shoots a fireball at the closest enemy for 35 damage when you use an ability.  Starts with the max of three fireball charges and consumes a charge for each fireball.  Builds one charge every 5 seconds.
    • Guardian Crusher – (Passive) Increases Might by 15.  (Passive) (Unique) Increases Might by an additional 10 when there’s an enemy Guardian nearby.
    • Korzik’s Cowl – (Passive) Increases Might by 15.  (Passive) (Unique) Increases your damage against isolated targets by 15%.  (Enemies are isolated if they do not have any nearby allies)


Attack Speed

  • Angelic Feather – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 15%.
    • Reflexive Grips – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 30%.  (Passive) (Unique) Every 15 seconds, your next Basic Attack will be a double attack.  This effect recharges faster based on the distance you travel while recharging.
    • Rian’s Talisman – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 30%.  (Passive) (Unique) Basic Attacks increase the damage of your next ability by 30% of your Might.  This effect can stack 3 times and lasts for 8 seconds.
    • Cavell’s Shaper – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 30%.  (Passive) (Unique) Basic attacks against Minions and Guardians have a 35% chance to spawn an archer construct with limited life.  Constructs scale up with the wearer’s bonus Health and Might.
    • Slipstream Hourglass – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 30%.  (Passive) (Unique) Your Basic Attacks reduce your Cooldowns by 0.5 seconds.
    • Vincent’s Wing – (Passive) Increases Attack Speed by 30%.  (Passive) (Unique) Your Basic Attacks deal additional damage equal to 2% of the target’s Maximum Health (does not affect structures).


  • Dragon Scale – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 200.
    • Crushing Will – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 400.  (Passive) (Unique) Every 150 damage taken by the wearer grants them 1 Might for 5 seconds.  This effect is applied five times whenever the wearer is stunned, rooted, feared, silenced, or blinded.
    • Frost Scale – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 400.  (Passive) (Unique) Unleashes a frost nova when the wearer uses an ability, slowing all nearby enemies by 30% for 1.5 seconds.
    • Kinetic Kickers – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 400.  (Passive) (Unique) When attacked, the wearer’s Movement Speed is increased by 0.1 for 2 seconds.  This effect can stack up to 5 times.
    • Minion’s Malaise – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 400.  (Passive) (Unique) Reduces damage taken from minions by 16.
    • Trail Blazers – (Passive) Increases Maximum Health by 400.  (Passive) (Unique) Generates a flame trail behind your Guardian that deals damage equal to 1.5% of your Maximum Health per second.


Item Cost

All items now cost 500 Gold in addition to any required Tier 1 Items, e.g. If a required Tier 1 Item has already been purchased, the Tier 2 Item will cost 500 Gold.  If a required Tier 1 Item is not owned, the Tier 2 Item will cost 1000 Gold (500 Gold for T1 + 500 Gold for T2).


Additional Updates

Free Guardian Rotation

Each week TOME: Immortal Arena will have six Guardians that will be unlocked and free to play for the duration of that week. These Guardians will be picked at random however, at least one of each role will be represented during the free rotation. This week’s free Guardian Rotation can be found here.

 Custom Match Making

Players can now participate in custom matches.

To join a custom match select “Team” and click the box in the top left hand side of the screen that reads “Scrimmage” there you can add players from your friends list or the invite box to a team to queue up against another specific group of players.

 Game settings

  • Players can now adjust settings in game view the blue icon on the top right side of their screen.
  • Smart Casting is now on by default, players will need to unclick the Smart Casting box to disable in the menu screen.
  • Random Guardian option is now available on the Guardian select screen.




New 3D lobby page

  • Players can now view all Guardians from the main lobby page
  • Players can now add unlocked Relics and Blessings to an owned Guardian via the main lobby page.

​In game Chat

Players can now chat with friends inside the TOME main lobby, and in game.



  • Morthul spawn reduced to 1 minute from 6 minutes; respawn reduced to 120 seconds from 150 seconds.
  • Altar damage increased to 250 from 200; health reduced to 5000 from 7000.
  • Tower gold reduced to 100 from 200; health reduced to 2400 from 4000; max Ammo increased to 360 from 180.
  • Melee Minion gold reduced to 8 from 20; XP increased to 29 from 25; health reduced to 360 from 400.
  • Ranged Minion gold reduced to 8 from 15; XP increased to 29 from 25; damage reduced to 32 from 40; health increased to 220 from 200.
  • Minion bounty range reduced to 9 from 16.
  • Guardian Vision reduced to 9 from 11.
  • Gold per Guardian kill reduced to 80 from 120.
  • Morthul had his health reduced to 3400 from 4000; default attacks changed to 4% of player’s maximum health from 120 damage; AoE changed to 20% of player’s maximum health from 380 damage.
