Season 4 Twisted Fate Guide

Season 4 Twisted Fate Guide

Twisted Fate has recently started to rise in popularity more both in Solo Que and competitive play. Even though Lichbane got semi nerfed few patches back, hes still quite good champion due to his global presence on the map. Players like Faker, Nukeduck and Hai have recently picked him in global tournaments. So i decided to make a guide out of him for you guys, so you know what Twisted Fate is about.

Abilities

The Skill ordering should be maxing out either (Q) or (W) first. Both are essential for poking, but according to one of the best Twisted Fate players Misaya just spamming blue cards from max range is enough poking in the lane. Nonetheless, which one you choose max out (E) last.

Masteries for Twisted Fate

I mainly use pretty ordinary set of masteries for Twisted Fate currently.  Although it doesn’t have spellweaving mastery which could increase a bit the overall damage output, i decided to rather pick 7 utillity points, because i feel summoners insight is extremely valuable for such immobile champion. Also your able to remove the movement speed crap and just get the mana regen, but of course TF doesn’t have lot of mana problems.

Rune Page

As for the runes there are many many different choices for Twisted Fate. In this specific set i have magic resistance flats, because TF is extremely squishy and needs the sustain, armor per level (In case your against AP otherwise take flats), then magic penetration reds and AP quints.

  • 9x Magic penetration Reds
  • 9x armor per level yellows
  • 9x Magic resistance flats Blues
  • 3x AP Flats Purples

Then there is of course the misaya build where he has pretty much no AP, where he swapped quints for Movement speed, which gives you mobility which is crucial, but reduces damage quite much.

Item Choices

Pretty Default AP Carry build, one different factor being that you have to build Lichbane always (without this you deal no damage). Also TF has luxury of getting few unorthodox items such as Twin Shadows, which increases chase potential or escaping and hextech gunblade which offers the same, but remember that AD also increases damage on (W) so that is pretty strong too imo.

In certain cases you want to build liandry or rylai for bit more health. Rylai is exceptionally good for kiting and actually bit underrated item at the moment. IF you have any questions regarding the build you can leave them below this article or the Youtube.
