League Of Legends Japanese Servers Coming

Konnichiwa, dear Japanese League players who have played long time on North American (NA) server with +200 pings, long wait is now over since Riot Games has announced a Japanese office in Tokyo. Japan already has lot of artist making stuff about League in Pixiv, but at the same time there is a decent pro scene too http://lol.gamepedia.com/2014_League_of_Legends_Japan_League/Winter_Season

As for now the official date is not set, but i can see it probably happening early 2015 or end of this year even. Looking forward to see my favorite Anime voice actors in League Of Legends. 伝説リーグ 日本サーバーには、すぐに来ている. 詳細については、お楽しみに

Riot Games

Meet Tokyo: Japan’s capital and the most populated metropolitan area in the world. Home of Akihabara — a sprawling mecca of manga, anime, electronics, and video games — the gravity-defying skyscrapers of Shinjuku, and Tokyo Game Show. A city dotted with shrines, scenic views, and — oh yeah — the most 3-star Michelin restaurants in the world. It’s no surprise we ended up here.

It’s the electric heart of Japan and now home to a growing crew of Rioters. As we build teams across Esports, Player Support, Marketing, Localization, Community, and more, we’re pushing the throttle into overdrive to create local in- and around-game experiences that delight players throughout Japan.

We’re still assembling a crack team of Rioters in Tokyo, but we’re getting close to hitting that big green “GO” button. So hang around; we’re just getting started.

It will be very long process though to translate the game to Japanese and re-do all the voices, so its matter of time when Riot Games makes further announcement about State Of Riot Games Tokyo. Although it was already while back where region images were leaked into PBE server, one including picture of Japan.
