Esports News Round Up


Helsmite_generic_newslo everyone, I’m Endimyon, and this is the smite Esports news round up for the next few weeks:

 Hirez Studios Weekly Tournament

First up we have the usual Hirez NA/EU weekly tournaments on Saturday the 29th of June (NA), and Sunday the 30th  (EU). In these tournament series a certain number of teams compete in a single elimination type match, this going up to the first and third place matches which will be a best of 3 style match up. The Prizes for the winners are from a prize pool of 1,000 dollars. It is a 5v5 conquest mode tournament played on a weekly bases every Saturday/Sunday of each week and streamed on smites official channel:

Next up we have the Denial Esports Casual tournament (5v5 conquest mode). In this tournament series teams that don’t feel comfortable enough to go up against some of the best players in the game, get a chance to experience competitive and tournament play, but go up against people with similar skill. If you want to sign up you cant be a sponsored team. There will be both NA and EU tournaments played on separate days. The European tournament will be played at Saturday the 29th of June and will start at 5 PM CET (11 AM eastern), the North American Tournament will be played at the 30th of June and will start at 12 PM eastern.

Code:Green Public Tournament

Next we have a new tournament organized by Tier Monster ( The tournament is called Code:Green and is organized  in a bit if a different way then you would expect, it is a pick up format tournament (5v5 conquest mode). Each team will be built from individual players that check in during the assigned check in period. This tournament is not for organized teams, but for solo players wanting to experience a competitive type of play. The tournament will be played on July 6th at 6 PM EST, and the check in will start at 5 PM EST. For information on the rules, eligility, format, general, and the prizes, head over to :

RTX 2013

Finally we have the upcoming RTX 2013 event, which will take place from July 5th – 7th at the Austin Convention Center. During this event there will be a SMITE floor competition of 5V5 conquest mode, played for prizes of God Packs and T-Shirts. This will lead up to a LAN competition of the top two North American professional SMITE teams (Team Dignitas VS Snipe Gaming) The winner of said competition will receive 2500 dollars in cash with second place receiving 1000 dollars.
