DawnGate Introduces The Collection

DawnGate Introduces The Collection

The Collection is a new browsing interface, designed to allow players to interact with and learn about all available content in the game. This content includes both gameplay items, like Shapers, Spiritstones and Sparks, as well as our customization content, such as Skins, Ward Skins and the newly released Announcer Packs.

The Collection is our library of knowledge and the content are records you can access within the Dawngate world. It includes the items previously captured in the Shaper and Wards tabs.

When you first enter your Collection, you are greeted by the Curator, an advisor, who presents you with content that is new or of ‘particular note’. In future updates of The Collection, the Curator will improve the exploration experience by providing meaningful connections between different items and content categories.

While content can be unlocked in The Collection, the interface was also designed to allow you to explore and sort the content the way you want to. Are you interested in the world of Dawngate? Filter content by World Regions. Interested in a specific play style? Sort with the Play Style filters. Filters can also be combined to show you exactly what you are looking to collect.

Another aspect of The Collection we are excited to release is the detail pages for all content. Players will be familiar with Shaper detail pages, but Ward Skins are viewable in 3D, and Announcer Packs can be sampled. Clicking on an item’s card brings up the detail page, which gives you an item description and the ability to rotate 3D objects. Some of our new content is not unlocked with either Destiny or Waypoints, but gained through achievement, so be sure to explore and fully build up your Collection.

In order to unlock the content requiring Waypoints, you can add to your Waypoints balance by clicking the “+” button in your top right mini-profile. More details on Waypoints purchasing can be found here.
